I'm Clare - a professional, experienced coach specialising in inner leadership development with a particular focus on Imposter Syndrome, self-worth, anxiety, and confidence issues.
As my friend and colleague, Sarah Durrant, takes a new direction following twelve years of coaching, teaching and learning facilitation, I will continue to offer the learning journeys Sarah and I have developed and co-facilitated in relation to inner leadership. I'll also deliver and build on the transformative work Sarah created in helping individuals and groups navigate their ‘imposter’ experiences with greater awareness, confidence and trust.
Sarah's influence many years ago on my own experience with Imposter Syndrome was immeasurable and played a significant role in shaping my healing journey, influencing an ongoing passion for research and discovery in this area, and my own decision to train as a professional coach.
As someone who struggled significantly with anxiety and Imposter Syndrome before discovering this work, I believe there is no greater advocate for it. I'm deeply passionate about helping others benefit from the same wisdom, tools and practices I have so gratefully discovered through my relationship with Sarah and the numerous other teachers I have encountered along the journey.

Are in a period of transition after becoming a parent/facing redundancy/preparing for retirement. How do you navigate this phase of your life and the pressures, losses, gains and confusion that come with it?
Juggling the demands of career, physical and mental wellbeing, finances, family and relationships against a backdrop of anxiety and low self-worth can be exhausting, confusing, lonely, and overwhelming. Our efforts to navigate our way through are often hindered by a nervous system trapped in survival mode, unrealistic beliefs about our own competence, and a harsh inner critic.
We find ourselves people pleasing, perfecting and procrastinating. Moving further and further away from our true selves and struggling with feelings of dissatisfaction, depression, anxiety, frustration and resentment as we contort ourselves into who we believe others expect us to be. Such an approach to life is unsustainable, exhausting and, frankly, pretty miserable.
