Designed for up to twelve participants and facilitated alongside my colleague, Sarah Durrant, this group learning journey focuses on building our capacity to connect with ourselves and others with increased self-awareness, compassion and understanding. It is intended to help us more fully express ourselves in our working and wider lives as leaders (regardless of our job title).
Coming together in a safe, confidential and supportive environment, we will explore and experience practices which build healthy habits of being with and relating to ourselves and others, by developing qualities which we are calling the 6 Cs of Inner Leadership:
· Calm and Clarity
· Compassion and Curiosity
· Courage and Confidence
You will gain insight into how you react to change, pressure and other common workplace dynamics. We will explore common ‘coping’ behaviours I'm calling the Draining Ps: People pleasing; Powering through; Procrastination and Perfectionism. We will also explore knowledge, insights and tools designed to help us respond in healthier, more authentic and sustainable ways.
During the course, you will also connect with your inner critic and learn how to relate to this part of you with greater compassion, patience and understanding. Through an exploration of values and purpose, you will uncover more of your authentic self and connect more deeply with what matters most to you.
Our 3 sessions together are designed to foster a deeper sense of calm, higher levels of self-trust and confidence, greater ease, flow, creativity and capacity for self-expression. As we develop these qualities, we may also naturally experience greater levels of motivation, engagement, contribution, personal and professional impact, job satisfaction, and mental and emotional well-being.
This course is intended to be informative, inspiring and transformational, evoking lasting and meaningful change. It includes insights, skills and practices from a range of wisdom traditions blended with leading-edge compassion-based research and practice.
Your stories, reflections and questions will be welcome throughout (everything is invitational with no pressure to share).
